Permit is valid for three years from the issue date. A $10 one time application fee (subject to change) is due at the time of the application. Checks should be made payable to FORT BEND COUNTY. Mail or deliver the application fee to the Alarm Unit at the above address. With a Permit, you are allowed five false alarms per year and subject to fine(s) starting with the sixth alarm. Without a Permit you are subject to fine(s) starting with the first false alarm. A copy of the County Alarm Regulations can be purchased or viewed at the Fort Bend County Clerk's office at the Fort Bend County Courthouse.

NOTICE: There will be a $30 fee ( subject to change) for all checks returned by your bank along with the $10 application fee payable only with a cashier's check or money order. Failure to do so will result in legal action. In addition, your alarm permit will be canceled and you will be subject to a minimum fee of $150 (subject to change) each time a Deputy is dispatched to your residence or business for an alarm.
