JAIL The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Department and Jail was remodeled from a 232 bed facility and offices to a 776 bed jail and offices in 1994. At present time the average population is about 750 inmates. The main number for the Jail is:

PROGRAMS The Fort Bend County Jail provides numerous programs for inmates. These are designed to assist the inmate when he/she is released. These programs include AA, Drug Rehabilitation, Living Skills, GED, and Religious activities.
VISITATION Visitation for inmates is held on Saturday and Sunday. Female visitation is from 8:30AMuntil 11:30AM. Male visitation is conducted from 1:30PM until 4:00PM. In order for a person to visit an inmate, they have to have a picture ID. Clergy and lawyers may visit at any reasonable time. If there is a special need for an inmate visit, then contact a Shift Supervisor at 281-341-4735 for arrangments.
COMMISARY An inmate may receive money to be placed into his commissary fund. NO CASH can be accepted. A money order made out to the Inmate Trust Fund with the inmate's name can be deposited in Bonding or may be sent by mail.
